Great movies

Yesterday I saw this really great movie, called Atonement. Even though I had expected that I would feel a bit down after having watched it, the result was even worse… It was a really sad, strong movie. I am of course glad to have seen it, but I wish I hadn’t felt so gloomy afterwards…
The plot reminds the audience of a classic Romeo and Juliet dilemma, set in UK in the ‘30s. Everything keeps getting worse and worse in this movie, until only a disaster remains as a result of all the lying, misunderstanding and unfortunate developments. The actors are James McAvoy and Keira Knightley, who both are really talented actors.
McAvoy’s character is called Robbie and he is probably the most innocent character of them all. He doesn’t deserve anything of what is happening to him.
I really recommend this movie to anyone that appreciates a deep film about loss, fate and hope. Have the tissues close to you though!

I also like Ocean’s Eleven, and I don’t know how many times I have seen it. The two other Ocean’s-movies are really good too.
I really take pleasure in that weird world of poker playing, glamour, scamming and gambling. Particularly when it is presented by such talented actors such as Brad Pitt, George Clooney, Andy Garcia, Al Pacino, Don Cheadle, Julia Roberts etc.
Even though there acting skills aren’t really being tested it is still good fun to see them act against each other and they do have great timing which is crucial in comedies/thrillers.
My favourite scenes is when Brad Pitt and George Clooney are talking, and also that scene when Rusty is teaching famous actors how to play poker. They really don’t learn and their poker playing is horrible.

The best film I have ever seen though, is Donnie Darko. Damn, Jake Gyllenhaal could deliver already then.  It has been ages since I saw it for the first time, still no other movie has beaten it. I keep showing it to family and friends, but they don’t seem to love it as much yours truly do.

But now I am taking a break from it to watch more movies with James McAvoy. He is such a good actor, I cannot get enough of his works.
